Members of our Speakers Bureau serve our community by tailoring and delivering FREE presentations on virtually any legal topic for any size group. Each of our speakers has expertise in their chosen areas of law and in communicating their knowledge and experience in meaningful ways. Among other topics, our speakers have addressed such vital topics as adoption, bankruptcy, child and spousal support, elder law (wills, living wills, powers of attorney, grandparent’s rights), small business, consumer rights and protection, creditors rights and employment issues.
Wills for Heroes
Providing wills, power of attorney and health care directives for first responders
Each year, dozens of attorneys participate in Wills for Heroes events throughout Montgomery County. Supported locally by members of the Montgomery Bar Association, Wills for Heroes is part of an innovative pro bono effort, which provides wills, powers of attorney, and health care directives to first responders. At the conclusion of their one-hour appointments, notarized legal documents are prepared for police officers, local firefighters, and other area first responders so that their families will be protected in the event of a tragedy.
Mock Trials
Helping high school students present cases before judges and juries
Members of our Young Lawyers Section help prepare area high school students for this exciting, educational opportunity that requires participants to present their cases before Montgomery County judges and attorneys who serve as jurors.
Problem with a Lawyer?
Do you have a legal fee dispute or would like to file a complaint
Under no circumstances should you feel it necessary to continue to be represented by a lawyer who you are dissatisfied with, but don’t act hastily. Often a conference with the lawyer can ease your concerns.
