This two-day CLE is an immersion into the Dependency System.  Day One will focus on the Foundations of the Dependency System.  Our Guest Speakers will provide a deep dive into the Tenents of Dependency Law, Types of Dependency Hearings, and the Parties involved. Additional discussion will include Least Restrictive Placements, how to handle Older Youth/Transitional Youth, and the Harm Resulting from Removing a Child from their Home.  Day 1 will conclude with a panel discussion on Best Practices in Dependency Law, including duties for representing a minor and confidentiality related to same as set forth under the Rules of Professional Conduct.   

This CLE was requested by the Judiciary and it has been suggested that all Attorneys practicing in this area attend.
