Bio:
Clinton J. Cusick began his career as an engineer working at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. After graduating from The Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Chemical Engineering, Clinton moved to New Jersey. While overseeing air monitoring networks in the Northeast and the Caribbean, he attended Rutgers University School of Law at night. Graduating in 1998, he was admitted to the Bars of New York and New Jersey and passed the Patent Bar. In 2000, he began his career as a patent attorney for a midsized firm in New Jersey.
Clinton's work experience brought him back to Pennsylvania as inside counsel for a generic pharmaceutical company challenging validity of brand drug patents.
He later joined a small firm in Blue Bell before striking out with a colleague to form an independent firm in 2005. Working in Lansdale, Clinton became one of the busiest trademark attorneys in the nation, conducting clearances and registering trademarks for clients across the country and overseas. He was consistently ranked by various publications among the top trademark attorneys in terms of annual applications filed and trademarks registered. In 2012, he was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar and joined the Montgomery Bar Association. He is the Chair of the MBA's Intellectual Property Committee.
In 2013, he formed Cusick IP, PLLC to provide intellectual property counsel to a wide client base. Representation includes patent and trademark prosecution before the United States Patent and Trademark Office as well as appeals to the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Clinton is active in the attractions industry and represents makers of consumer products and industrial products. Clinton lives with his wife and two children in Upper Gwynedd.
