Daniel J. Siegel focuses his work on assisting other attorneys by being their silent second chair. He assists nlitigators in all phases of trial (everything from drafting pleadings to nanalyzing transcripts to preparing for trial) and acts as appellate counsel in nstate and federal courts. He also represents them in disciplinary matters, ncounsels firms and attorneys when they are leaving a law firm, and provides nadvice on professional responsibility issues.

Dan?s record of success includes defeating nnumerous summary judgment motions (at the trial and appellate court levels); persuading nthe Superior Court to reinstate a plaintiff?s jury verdict of $575,000 after nthe trial court granted a new trial; and reversing a decade of bad case law nthat incorrectly calculated workers? compensation pension offsets.

In addition to legal writing, Dan is a nprolific author of columns and articles and has written several books including nChanging Law Firms: Ethical Guidance for Pennsylvania Law Firms and nAttorneys and Pennsylvania Workers? Compensation Law: The nBasics. He is a former editor of The Philadelphia Lawyer and a nmember of the editorial board of The Legal Intelligencer.
