Bio:
Mike Lyon is an attorney at Walsh Pancio LLC, which he joined in 2018. He focuses his practice on civil litigation, business formation and organization, contract drafting, negotiation, and review, and estate planning. He has been a member of the Montgomery Bar Association since 2014 and is currently serving on the MBA's Board of Directors and on the inaugural Leadership Academy 2.0 class. He served as chair of the MBA's Young Lawyers' Section in 2019 and is past chair of the MBA's CLE Committee. He is also an active member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, where he serves as Zone 9 Co-Chair for the PBA's Young Lawyers' Division, as a delegate to the PBA's House of Delegates, and as chair of the PBA's Gaming Law Committee.
In his community, Mike serves on the Board of Directors for Manna on Main Street, a food pantry and hunger eradication organization in Lansdale, PA. He is the Chair of the Zoning Hearing Board for Montgomery Township, PA, where he has lived with his wife and two children since 2011. He is also a past member of Montgomery Township's Planning Commission. He also proudly volunteers as a baseball coach for the Montgomery Township Baseball & Softball Association. He has previously represented low-income tenants in landlord-tenant matters on a pro bono basis in the MBA's EPIC (Eviction Prevention & Intervention Coalition) program.
Mike graduated cum laude from Villanova University in 2006 with a Bachelor's of Science in Accountancy, and then graduated cum laude from the Villanova University School of Law in 2009. While in law school, he served as Managing Editor of Research and Writing for the Villanova Law Review. He was also a member of Villanova?s National Trial Team, and a member of the winning team at the Lone Star Classic in 2008. He was the recipient of the David E. Worby scholarship for excellence in Trial Advocacy at Villanova in 2008-09, and was a co-recipient of the Center for Forensic Economic Studies Excellence in Litigation Award in May of 2009.
Mr. Lyon is admitted to the bar of the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and all federal and state courts within Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has also been permitted to practice pro hac vice in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.
In his spare time, Mike is an avid golfer and a fan of all sports, especially his beloved Villanova Wildcats. He is also a CrossFitter and enjoys travel, history, and barbeque. (mike@walshpancio.com)
