Mr. Howland is a partner in the firm of Howland, Hess, Guinan, Torpey, Cassidy n& O??Connell, LLP, in Huntingdon Valley, Montgomery County.  His practice focuses on land use and real nestate, business law, and wills, trusts and estates.

John nhas been extremely active in the Montgomery Bar Association, and is a Past nPresident.  He has also served as a nDirector and has chaired several committees.  nOn the charitable side, he is a Past President of the Montgomery Bar nFoundation, and is President and one of the founding Directors of the Board of nthe Montgomery Child Advocacy Project.

At nthe State level, Mr. Howland is a member of the House of Delegates of the nPennsylvania Bar Association, and Past President of the Conference of County nBar Leaders.  He is a graduate of Lafayette College nand Villanova Law nSchool, having received his J.D. in 1972.  nJohn and his wife, Kathi, live in Cheltenham.  They have ten children.
