Bob Cardwell is Managing Principal of the Consumer Finance & Fair Banking practice ngroup of CAPCO RISC Services, a division of The Capital Markets Company.  He nadvises financial institutions on a wide variety of regulatory compliance nissues and best practices for risk management. His specific  compliance expertise lies in mortgage banking, consumer lending, payment systems, RESPA/TILA nreform, CRA compliance, anti-money laundering and consumer privacy.  Bob is also a trainer for the CFPB and nvarious state banking and bar associations. n   

Previous nExperience

Bob was Vice President, Chief nCompliance Officer, and BSA Officer for a diversified financial services ncompany and its two depository institutions where he was responsible for ndevelopment, implementation, and administration of a comprehensive compliance nmanagement system and Bank Secrecy Act compliance program, as well as design nand delivery of compliance training, monitoring, and analysis of regulatory nchanges, and the management of regulatory compliance and safety and soundness nexaminations by the FDIC, OCC and state banking departments.  Previously, he served as assistant general counsel for a large nCalifornia thrift, as a licensed mortgage banker in New Jersey and as a senior nattorney for the Resolution Trust Corporation during the savings and loan ncrisis.
