Mr. Troy is a Partner at Kane, Pugh, Knoell, Troy & Kramer, LLP in Norristown. He focuses his practice on professional liability and medical malpractice defense. He previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Albert R. Subers of the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas in 1990. Mr. Troy is the immediate Past-President of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute. He previously served as Chair of the House of Delegates of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and Chair of the PBA Young Lawyers Division. He has served two terms on the Pennsylvania Bar Association Board of Governors. At the PBA he also served as either Vice-Chair or Chair of the PBA Health Care Law Committee from 2000 to 2009. He presently serves as Co-Chair of the PBA Bar Leadership Institute. He is a life fellow of the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation and has previously served on the PBA Board of Directors. nLocally, Mr. Troy served as President of the Montgomery County Trial Lawyers Section in 2003. He served as a Director of the Montgomery Bar Association from 1997 to 1999 and served as either Chair or Co-Chair of the MBA Insurance Committee for many years. Mr. Troy has served as an Officer of the Montgomery Bar Association since 2009. Mr. Troy received a Special Achievement Award from the Montgomery Bar Association in 1999, and received the James P. Fox Trial Lawyers of the Year Award from the Montgomery County Trial Lawyers Section in 2011. Mr. Troy regularly teaches Continuing Legal Education both to local Bar Associations and to private firms. nIn the Community Mr. Troy serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of Gaudeamus Music Ministries, Inc., and on the Board of Trustees of the Wissahickon Valley Public Library. He and his wife Liz and three daughters live in Blue Bell.
